Meet Vito Vincent the Celebrity Cat! Since his adoption from a Brooklyn animal shelter, Vito Vincent has become a real star, appearing on Thirty Rock, Colbert Nation, and starring on Broadway in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Vito Vincent is fully trained, and his calm personality allows him to work with even the highest intensity productions and individuals. We are also excited to have science journalist and author Arlene Weintraub at the Event! Arlene has 20 years of experience writing about healthcare, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Arlene will be available to discuss and answer questions about her new book, Heal: The Vital Role of Dogs in the Search for Cancer Cures (ECW Press 2015), which brings to life the world of comparative oncology and the many ways dogs are helping in the war on cancer.

The JLACF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping animals fight cancer along with raising awareness about the advances made in both veterinary and human oncology. The JLACF provides financial assistance to families in need to treat their pets with cancer. The 5K is our annual Fundraiser that brings together people and pets and celebrates the human-animal bond while helping others

For this Event, you are able to create a “Team” during registration (click on the register button and on the third screen you will be given the option to create a “Team”. Please designate a Team Leader to set up the page, and that person will forward the Team Page link to the remaining team participants (a team should only be set up ONCE by the Team Leader- this will ensure you are all grouped together!
Once registered, please forward your ‘page’ to your Friends and Family, and absolutely any Animal Lover that you know- they can support you, and simultaneously support the cause!
